Neighbourhood Crime Alert: Vehicle Security Reminder

We are writing to raise awareness following a number of reported attempted break-ins and thefts from vehicles in our area over the past few weeks.

Key points for Community Vigilance:

These incidents appear to be occurring primarily overnight and often target vehicles that may have been left unlocked.

We urge all residents to take a few simple steps to protect your property and deter criminals:

always double-check that all doors, windows, and the sunroof of your car are fully closed and locked, even when parked on your drive or outside your home.

remove valuables and do not leave any items on display, including bags, coats, loose change or electric devices

if possible, park in a well-lit area or use motion-activated security lights

remain vigilant. If you witness any suspicious behaviour - especially during the late evening or early morning - contact the non-emergency 101 line and 999 if a crime is in progress.
